  • The Life of the Prophet (Sirah)

Anas ibn Malik said, “I never touched silk softer than the hands of Rasūlullāh ﷺ and I never smelt a fragrance more beautiful than the natural fragrance from the body of the Messenger ﷺ.” When he would touch a person, his heavenly fragrance would remain upon them and he would beautify them. When he walked the streets, his fragrance would decorate that area such that a person could tell that the Prophet ﷺ had walked on that street. The Sahaba would collect his perspiration. His saliva would cure the ill. His touch would heal those who were injured.

  • 40 Specialities of the Prophet (Khasa’is)

The Prophet ﷺ was given the Qur’an. His saliva was cure, his touch was remedy, his body was fragrant, his blood was pure, his sight pierced the heavens, his speech was revelation, he was magnified beyond creation, he was protected from flaws, raised in station and chosen to be the Beloved of Allah. We shall be covering Bidayat as-Sul fi Tafdil ar-Rasul (The Beginning of the Quest for the High Esteem of the Messenger) which is a concise work summarising succinctly forty distinctive virtues and characteristics of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

  • Hadith: The 40 of Imam al-Nawwawi

The collection of Forty Hadith by al-Imam al-Nawawi is one of the most accepted and renowned works of Hadith ever compiled. Its significance lay in the fact that these selected forty hadiths comprise the main essential and fundamental concepts of Islam which, in turn, construct the minimum level of required revealed knowledge for every single Muslim. Students will be honoured to study hadith which comprehensively covers every key principle of this religion. This subject will teach the seeker to reconnect to Allah through acts of virtue, honour and nobility.

Examples of things that we shall study: How can I rectify my intentions? What is the importance of earning halal? What actions will lead to Allah accepting my supplications? Can Allah really forgive a sinner like me? How does my relationship with family, friends and neighbours affect my relationship with Allah? What actions will draw me closer to the Lord? How do I protect myself in a time filled with such difficulties? Who truly represents the religion?

  • Shama’il (Prophetic Description)

Anas ibn Malik said, “I never touched silk softer than the hands of Rasūlullāh ﷺ and I never smelt a fragrance more beautiful than the natural fragrance from the body of the Messenger ﷺ.” When he would touch a person, his heavenly fragrance would remain upon them and he would beautify them. When he walked the streets, his fragrance would decorate that area such that a person could tell that the Prophet ﷺ had walked on that street.Examples of that which shall be covered: What did he look like? How did he walk? How long was his hair? How did he talk? What colour was his skin? What did his eyes look like? What was the shape of his nose? Who tall was it? What was his like with his Companions? What was he like with his wives?  What was he like with children?

  • Burdah Commentary

Imam Sharaf al-Din al-Busiri’s al-Kawakib al-Duriya Fi Madih al-Khayr al-Buriyah also famously as al-Burdah is one of the most renowned poems ever penned. It has traditionally been recited in seminaries and homes across the Muslim world for centuries, and it has been accepted in the hearts of millions across the globe due to the beauty of its language, the radiance of its meanings, and the illumination of its secrets. The poem is immersed in the love, honour, and reverence of our master Muhammad  and his noble family and Companions; every line is filled with the deepest levels of devotion and veneration for the greatest man Allah ever created, and every word was written with the pinnacles of yearning and longing for his blessed proximity. Indeed, the Burdah is an ocean of blessings and goodness for all those who study it, and it is a means for cure and rectification for all those recite it.
