Mohammed Aslam was blessed to visit and sit with many scholars during his seven years in Syria. This section is dedicated to some of the scholars that he met.

Shaykh ‘Abd al-Razzaq was the master of the Qur’an, the ultimate authority in the lands of Shaam, and the greatest scholar of his generation.

Shaykh Muhammad Adib al-Kallas is the erudite scholar, the great jurist, the righteous wali, and the zahid of Damascus, who taught thousands of students.

Shaykh ‘Abd al-Fattah al-Bizm is the current Mufti of Damascus and the Principle of Fath al Islami,-Damascus. He is a man of authority, leadership, and awe.

Shaykh Khalid al-Kharsa is renowned in Damascus for his in depth knowledge of the sciences of Islam, and his skill in the art of da’wah.

Shaykh Samir al-Nass is one of the greatest scholars in the world. He is an encyclopedia of knowledge and a master of the sciences of Islam.

Shaykh Muhammad Sa’id Ramadan al-Buti was one the most renowned and respected scholars in Syria. His weekly lessons would attract thousands.

Shaykh `Abd al-Rahman al-Shaghouri was a great worshipper, a noble scholar, and a reflection of the saints from the earlier generations.

Shaykh Shukri al-Luhafi was the definition of abstinence and a true embodiment of humility. He dedicated his life to following the Quran and Sunnah.

Shaykh Abu Hasan al-Kurdi was a master of the Quran in all of its ten canonical recitations. He had one of the shortest chains of transmission in Damascus.
